South Korea starts processed chicken shipments to Vietnam
South Korea marked its first shipment of processed chicken products to Vietnam on 21 October, after the two countries agreed sanitary requirements. The shipment followed negotiations linked to an April summit.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said the first shipment event took place at Harim in Iksan. The agreement opens Vietnam to South Korean heat-treated poultry products, following consultations on animal-health conditions.
Harim said it planned an initial shipment of about 2 tonnes within 2026 and a total of 70 tonnes, worth about 700 million won, by next year. These are company plans reported by the ministry, not completed export figures.
