Puebla’s civil-protection agency said rain in recent hours had caused infrastructure damage across several parts of the state. Its situation report, covering conditions through 05:00 on October 17, said a landslide and slope failure had affected a road in Zapotitlán de Méndez; one lane was open while crews continued clearing the route.

The agency also reported tree removal and water-related road damage in other municipalities, with partial or full access restored at several sites. Officials said no families had been evacuated or moved to shelters as of the update and that monitoring and coordination with all 217 municipalities continued. The release gives no rainfall totals or quantified damage estimate.
