Tuscany’s regional civil protection service extended its yellow warning for strong thunderstorms over the Fiora and Albegna hills, Grosseto coast and Tuscan Archipelago until 10:00 local time on Monday, October 19. Its October 18 announcement said the warning had previously been due to end at 21:00 that day.

The warning covers hydrogeological and hydraulic risks on smaller watercourses. Persistent instability could bring locally strong gusts and hail, particularly over the islands. These are forecast hazards; the announcement does not report damage already sustained or rainfall totals.
