Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) reviewed health and pharmaceutical reforms and development initiatives at a meeting on 2 October, co-chaired by the health minister and the council’s director general. Participants included officials from health, drug regulation, research and commerce bodies.

The agenda covered indigenous vaccine production, a plasma-fractionation project, a national policy package, rollout of a drug track-and-trace system and export potential. The government release called for coordination to speed implementation; it did not report project completion or announce a new investment amount.
