Egypt advances integrated medical-city plans for New Alamein and the New Administrative Capital

Egypt’s health minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar reviewed plans for two integrated medical cities in New Alamein and the New Administrative Capital. At an October 1 meeting, officials said the concept had developed from a proposed heart institute into major complexes with specialized institutes across medical disciplines.
The ministry described the projects as strategic infrastructure intended to support the Universal Health Insurance System and expand healthcare services. Officials reviewed the New Administrative Capital site, international implementation models and an economic structure intended to support financial sustainability.
A separate ministerial visit on October 3 reviewed progress on the New Alamein Hospital project. This report does not count that hospital inspection as a separate third medical-city project; it records it as a related development within the broader medical-city planning context.
