OECD: Business AI adoption differs widely across countries

In OECD’s 2025 analysis, 13.9% of businesses in the OECD area and 13.5% in the EU-27 used AI solutions in 2024.

The measured OECD-country adoption range widened from 2–16% in 2021 to 4–28% in 2024. Denmark, Sweden and Finland were in the 24–28% range; Belgium stood at 25%.

The report says generative AI accelerated diffusion while gaps by sector, firm size and country persisted. These indicators draw on country surveys, not a single global census of firms.
