AI use by EU enterprises rose to 20% in 2025

In Eurostat’s survey, 20% of EU enterprises with at least 10 employees reported using AI in 2025, up from 13.5% in 2024.

Denmark had the highest national rate at 42%, followed by Finland at 37.8% and Sweden at 35%. Analysing written language was the most common reported use (11.8%).

Eurostat’s definition spans text, image and audio processing, machine learning and autonomous systems. Image and audio generation was a new 2025 category, with no 2024 comparator.
