Nordique Critical Metals said on October 13 that the TSX Venture Exchange had granted final approval for its option agreement with SOQUEM on the Kwyjibo rare-earth project in Quebec. The agreement allows the company to earn an initial 60% interest, and potentially a further 20%, through staged payments and project investment if the required conditions are met.
The company described C$23.15 million in aggregate Phase I payments and project investment, followed by an additional C$22 million for Phase II. These interests have not yet been earned and depend on payments, share issuances and milestones including an impacts-and-benefits agreement, metallurgical work, permits and feasibility work. Nordique also filed an amended technical report supporting its preliminary economic assessment to clarify disclosure after exchange comments; it is not a feasibility study.
