NIST published a summary of feedback on its concept paper about identity and authorization for software and agentic AI. The agency said it received comments from more than 600 commenters across industry, government and academia.
The project’s first implementation use case will work with DevSecOps to demonstrate identification, authentication and authorization of AI agents in the software development lifecycle. This is a planned demonstration, not a completed standard or validated product result. Further use cases will be scoped later.
