Indium Corporation processes materials including indium, gallium, germanium and tin for electronics and semiconductor industries. Micron says the expansion is expected to restart domestic processing of critical minerals used in advanced chip manufacturing.

Micron’s announced support is part of its U.S. supply-chain plan, announced in July, with investment of up to $3 billion across the ecosystem. The $3 billion is not the amount committed to Indium Corporation in this announcement.
