Mexico fixed investment rises 1.4% in July

INEGI’s real, seasonally adjusted indicator rose 6.0% year on year as machinery and equipment gains offset a monthly fall in construction.

Mexico’s gross fixed investment rose 1.4% in July from June and stood 6.0% above July 2025, according to INEGI’s seasonally adjusted real index. The index reached 110.5 points on a 2018=100 base.

The monthly increase was uneven: spending on machinery and equipment advanced 4.5%, while construction investment fell 1.5%. Within construction, non-residential investment declined 3.9%; the bulletin reports preliminary national accounts estimates.
