Natural Resources Canada reported progress at McIlvenna Bay on 2 September. The mine produced its first copper concentrate in June, followed by zinc and pyrite concentrates in July; commercial production was expected in the third quarter of 2026.

The project was connected to Saskatchewan’s grid through a new transmission line, and more than 400,000 tonnes of material were ready for processing. The company was also evaluating higher processing capacity. The release describes one mine’s progress, not national output.
