Community leaders in Tenenkou asked local authorities to address persistent price increases at a meeting on 3 October, the Malian Press and Publicity Agency (AMAP) reported. Participants included traders, fuel sellers, bakers, transport operators and cereal-mill owners. They said fuel supply had nearly returned to normal, but some prices had not fallen after the earlier fuel crisis.

AMAP reported a Tenenkou–Bamako transport fare of CFA 18,000, compared with CFA 7,000–8,000 previously, and a 100-kilogram millet sack price above CFA 30,000, up from CFA 15,000 weeks before. A bread baguette was reported at CFA 350 versus CFA 300; petrol was CFA 1,150–1,250 after having reached CFA 3,500–4,000 during the earlier period.

The meeting formed subcommittees of traders, fuel sellers, bakers and mill operators to propose prices the following week. These are prices cited in the meeting report, not a systematic market survey, and no approved price controls were announced.
