Kenorland Minerals said on October 2 that Sumitomo Metal Mining Canada and Centerra Gold exercised top-up rights to maintain respective stakes of 10.1% and 9.9%. Kenorland issued a total of 45,794 new shares to the two investors.

The shares were priced at $2.498 each for gross proceeds of $114,393.41. Sumitomo is a related party because it owns more than 10% of Kenorland; the company said it relied on exemptions from formal valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements under Canadian securities rules.
