Jos South Local Government in Nigeria’s Plateau State said in an October 18 report that several community infrastructure projects had been completed. The administration said it finished and opened a bridge over a channel at Gura Loh Ban in Gyel District, where erosion and flooding had disrupted movement. It said a three-cell box culvert at Vwang Kogot connects the district with neighbouring Riyom Local Government.

The report says a three-cell box culvert at Kushe links Kuru A, Kuru B and Kushe wards. It also says a bridge at Zot Shen remains under construction, a 1,000-capacity hall at Kwang is complete, and a similarly sized hall at Kushe is nearing readiness for use. The release provides no project costs, contractor details or independent verification; the completion and impact claims are those of the local government.
