The company statement carried by Petra said container volumes also exceeded 100,000 TEUs in July and August. In September, transit cargo amounted to 14,712 TEUs and truck movements through the terminal gates reached 45,901.

CEO José Rueda attributed the run of records to Aqaba’s role in regional trade and the terminal’s operating capacity. The figure is company-reported monthly activity; by itself it does not measure the performance of the whole port or Jordan’s total trade.
