Central bank governors and senior representatives from member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation attended; Governor Fatih Karahan opened and chaired the meeting.
The first session considered how geopolitical shocks and fragmentation in the global economy affect macroeconomic resilience, together with central banks’ monetary-policy responses. A second session focused on reserve management, and a third examined central-bank communication under uncertainty.
The fourth theme was the role of financial technology in improving access and inclusion across OIC countries. A separate workshop addressed reserve and liquidity management in emerging markets. The central bank’s notice reports the discussions; it does not announce a joint policy decision or binding commitment.
