In its October 8 release, the central bank said negative revaluation was the main reason for the decline. Reserves had stood at $742.7 billion on September 25.
The weekly stock is reported in US dollars. The Bank attributed the change mainly to valuation effects, rather than describing it as new reserve spending or a transfer.
