Caspian Oil reviews Russian cooperation options for southern Caspian exploration
The Caspian Oil Company chief and Iran’s ambassador in Moscow discussed exploration and offshore infrastructure in the southern Caspian.

Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported on 10 October that Mohammad Hossein Daneshfar, chief executive of Caspian Oil Company, met Iran’s ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, at the Iranian Embassy in Moscow. Daneshfar was in Russia for an international conference on shipbuilding and the design of advanced equipment for offshore oil and gas development; he briefed the ambassador on the company’s activities, plans and potential in the Caspian region.
The two sides examined options for expanding exploration in the southern Caspian, developing hydrocarbon structures and establishing offshore infrastructure. They also discussed possible use of Russian companies’ capabilities in the region. IRNA described the meeting as an exploration of cooperation opportunities; it reported no agreement, investment value or project timetable.
