Chevron signs exploration agreement for Egypt’s Lotus area

EGAS and Chevron signed a natural-gas and crude-oil exploration deal for the offshore Lotus area in the Mediterranean. The ministry set minimum investment at $88 million.

The agreement covers drilling two exploratory wells and reprocessing 3D seismic data. Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi attended the signing ceremony on October 5.
