Indonesia’s September inflation reaches 3.28% year on year

Indonesia’s consumer price index rose 3.28% from a year earlier in September, while monthly inflation was 0.30%. BPS reported a CPI level of 112.31 on its 2022=100 base.

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported headline inflation of 3.28% year on year in September 2026. The consumer price index reached 112.31, compared with 108.74 a year earlier; the month-on-month rate was 0.30% and the increase since December was 2.17%. The release draws on price monitoring in 150 regencies and municipalities.

Food, beverages and tobacco prices rose 4.37% year on year and contributed 0.26 percentage points to the monthly increase. Core inflation was 2.84% year on year. These are different measures: the annual rate compares with September 2025, while the monthly rate compares with August 2026.
