Paraguay inflation reached 1.7% year on year in September

The central bank reported a 0.1% monthly rise in consumer prices in September and annual inflation of 1.7%. Inflation since the start of the year stood at 1.9.

The Central Bank of Paraguay’s September 2026 inflation report said the consumer price index rose 0.1% during the month. That monthly rate was above the 0.1% decline recorded in September 2025. Year-on-year inflation increased to 1.7% from 1.5% in August.

Core inflation also rose 0.1% month on month in September, while its annual rate eased to 1.2%. The headline and core measures therefore posted the same monthly change but different annual rates. These are observed price changes for the report’s September reference month, not forecasts.
