India’s Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said the nationwide Khet Bachao Abhiyan–Rabi 2026 will run from 22 October to 30 November. The agriculture minister is scheduled to launch it in Karnal, Haryana. The campaign will promote soil-test-based fertiliser use, diversification into oilseeds, pulses and horticulture, and use of fields after paddy harvest.

Activities include farmer conferences, training and field demonstrations at state, district, block and village-council levels. The ministry set a target of reaching about 10 million participants, envisaged 4,150 teams and expects more than 12,000 scientists and ATMA functionaries to contribute. These are plans and targets, not completed results.
