According to a 19 October Press Information Bureau release, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the upgraded Agri Welfare Portal to give farmers mobile access to schemes, financial assistance and agricultural information. It is intended to bring services including PM-KISAN, AgriStack and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana into one interface.

The release says the portal is designed to work with weak connectivity, support screen readers and provide online eligibility checks and applications. The ministry said it would conduct training through Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the country to help farmers use the portal and other digital tools.
