The French government announced the second phase of its electrification plan on October 15. The new phase contains 17 measures for households, businesses and local authorities and extends the first phase launched in April 2026. The plan aims to speed the shift to electricity in heating, transport and industry while reducing fossil-fuel use.

Measures include simplifying heat-pump assistance, extending restrictions on new biofuel-oil boilers (biofioul), offering up to €11,000 to small businesses buying European-assembled electric light commercial vehicles, and a €500 grant for a controllable home charging unit. The plan also proposes a mechanism in Île-de-France to free grid-connection capacity for industrial projects and large electricity users. This is an announced policy package, with some measures scheduled to take effect in 2027.
