The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said on 7 October that concrete work was complete on the overhead bridge connecting Terminals 1 and 2 at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. Managing Director Olubunmi Kuku said the canopy, framing and rails were substantially in place, with public use expected by the December travel peak.

Kuku also said three AmbuLifts were active at the airport to assist passengers with reduced mobility. A proposed extension of the Lagos Red Line into the airport perimeter could have four or five stops, but environmental assessment, design review and procurement were still under way; the rail link was not yet in construction or operation.
