On 2 October, the European Commission announced an eighth €2.9 billion disbursement under the Ukraine Facility. It said the funds support Ukraine's financing needs and the continued operation of public administration. For the first time, the payment includes an €800 million component from the Ukraine Support Loan channelled through the Facility.

The Commission said total support provided through the Ukraine Plan would exceed €32 billion after this payment, including contributions from Member States and partners and funds channelled through the loan. It also said €33.7 billion remained available for the rest of 2026: €29.3 billion under the Ukraine Support Loan and €4.4 billion under the initial Ukraine Facility. These are available programme amounts, not payments already made, and the source says disbursements depend on reform conditions.
