EU adult learning participation rises to 13.7%

The indicator measures learning in the previous four weeks among people aged 25–64.

In 2025, 13.7% of EU residents aged 25–64 reported formal or non-formal education or training in the previous four weeks, Eurostat said. The share was 10.1% in 2015.

Participation was 14.9% among women and 12.4% among men. Sweden recorded the highest rate at 38.2%. The measure is not restricted to employees and does not count participation over the whole year.
