ENOGIA signs waste-heat power project with Naphtachimie at Lavéra

ENOGIA said on 19 October that it had signed a long-term contract with INEOS subsidiary Naphtachimie to turn waste heat at its Lavéra site into electricity. The deal is the first industrial project under ENOGIA’s Green Shield Power Solutions offer.

According to the Marseille-based company, ORC modules designed and built by ENOGIA will capture part of the process heat currently dissipated at Naphtachimie’s Lavéra plant and convert it into electricity for on-site use. The contract is held by ENOGIA Assets Industry, jointly owned by ENOGIA and ADEME Investissement.

The contract has a minimum term of 10 years. ENOGIA said commissioning will follow study, manufacturing and integration phases, with the timetable to be agreed with the customer. Under the model, ENOGIA finances, installs and operates the modules while the industrial customer buys the electricity over time. The release does not say the system is already operating.
