Egypt reviews foreign investment strategy for 2027–2030

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed the main features of a new foreign direct investment strategy. The plan includes targets to raise private-sector investment and FDI flows through 2030.

At the meeting, Investment Minister Mohamed Farid said the strategy assesses the investment climate, global trends and sectors prioritized for promotion. Its preparation included consultations with public institutions and private-sector representatives.

The ministry statement also listed comprehensive digitization of investor services and implementation of proposed reforms as parts of the plan. The strategy was under review; the account reported no realized increase in investment.
