Egypt opens first Alamein–Africa Business Forum

President Sisi opened the inaugural Alamein–Africa Business Forum in New Alamein. The forum aims to strengthen partnerships among African governments, companies and entrepreneurs.

The Egyptian initiative was endorsed by the African Union and is planned every two years in New Alamein. Organizers include Egypt’s government, the AU Commission, AUDA-NEPAD and Afreximbank.

The programme was designed to address intra-African trade, economic integration, financing and investment partnerships, and emerging sectors. The announcement described aims and format but listed no specific signed outcomes.
