DTE Energy and sonnen announced a two-year residential battery virtual power plant pilot in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on 29 October 2026. The programme at Veridian at County Farm is intended to connect nearly 100 homes virtually through coordinated battery systems.
The companies said the Michigan Public Service Commission had approved the pilot.
