De Soto expands wastewater capacity through Burns & McDonnell–CAS project

Burns & McDonnell’s June 24 release describes the $40 million De Soto expansion with CAS Constructors. Capacity rose from 1.3 to 2.6 million gallons daily; operations began in March.

The project used progressive design-build. June coverage concerns the opening ceremony and completion announcement, not a new EPC award. Battery manufacturing growth also requires planning municipal water infrastructure as part of the energy transition.
