Colombian and Peruvian officials met on October 5 to prepare the presidential meeting and seventh binational cabinet, scheduled for December 3 in Barranquilla. They agreed to shape the mechanism around a more strategic agenda with trackable commitments.
The proposed priorities are security cooperation and action against cross-border threats, stronger economic, trade and investment ties, and development and integration in border areas. Colombia’s delegation also reviewed progress and pending matters under the previous Villa de Leyva action plan.
