CNA Marche projects a €918 million rise in 2026 energy costs

A 17 October assessment by CNA Marche estimates how higher electricity, gas and fuel prices could affect households and businesses in the Marche region during 2026. Under an assumed average 20% increase in energy prices from 2025, the regional association projects an additional cost of about €918 million. It attributes more than €328 million to roughly 657,000 households and about €589 million to more than 130,000 active businesses.
The estimate comes from CNA Marche’s research centre applying national CNA projections to the region. The source says the same scenario would mean more than €500 in extra annual energy costs for a household and over €4,500 on average for a small business. These are conditional projections, not observed bills or spending; the association says energy-intensive sectors such as manufacturing, food processing, vehicle repair and transport are exposed.
