Source not verified: Click Petróleo e Gás (CPG) reported on 10 October 2026 that 16 offshore-wind projects in Ceará were in the licensing pipeline; an Ibama map snapshot from February listed 36.2 GW of planned capacity for them. This is an older view of a project pipeline, not capacity approved, built or operating.
The report said the implementing decree had not yet been issued as of publication. In a 9 October Diário do Nordeste report, sector participants estimated that construction might begin five to six years to eight to ten years after regulation. These are speakers’ estimates, not an official schedule. Current licensing and regulatory status were not independently confirmed.
