Canada machinery and equipment price index stood at 129.0 in July

Statistics Canada’s Machinery and Equipment Price Index, based on 2016=100, was 129.0 in July 2026 for total domestic and imported machinery and equipment.

In the newly released monthly table, the national index for all machinery and equipment was 129.0. The domestic-machinery index was 132.9 and the imported-machinery index was 128.3.

The index uses a 2016=100 base, covers Canada nationally and is not seasonally adjusted. Statistics Canada says values for the previous six months may be revised with each release.
