Canada machinery-rental price index reached 116.9 in Q2

Statistics Canada’s index, with 2020=100, put commercial and industrial machinery and equipment rental prices at 116.9 in the second quarter of 2026.

The index tracks price changes in commercial and industrial machinery and equipment rental and leasing activities in Canada. Its Q2 2026 level was 116.9, compared with 116.2 in Q1 and 114.3 in Q2 2025.

The index is not seasonally adjusted and is published for Canada only. Statistics Canada says the previous quarter can be revised with each release; values for the first two quarters of 2020 were estimated using other benchmarking methods.
