An African Development Bank report dated 16 October describes progress by four entrepreneurs supported through PADEJ-MR, a rural youth employment and skills project. In Kaya, Benguédo Ouédraogo moved shea-butter processing toward semi-industrial production; in Koudougou, Évodie Bireba modernised her weaving workshop; and in Dédougou, Jacob Dakio expanded his dairy herd from two cows to ten.

In Ouahigouya, Annick Sawadogo cut the time to fulfil a juice order from two weeks to three or four days. PADEJ-MR runs from 2019 to 2026 with total investment of €13.62 million, 90% funded by an African Development Fund grant. AfDB says 350 people have completed incubation, another 100 are training, and more than €610,000 has been disbursed for 34 business plans; these are project totals, not national statistics.
