VLI starts sorghum rail transport on three corridors

VLI said on 7 October that it had begun moving sorghum by rail on the Leste, Sudeste and Norte corridors. The company reported more than 250,000 tonnes shipped by September and said the first international shipments it cited went to China. CPG revisited the announcement in a report published on 10 October.
The expectation of transporting more than 800,000 tonnes by the end of 2026 is a company forecast, not a completed result. VLI also described planned October shipments through the Norte corridor. These are company figures; the reported cumulative amount is distinct from future targets.
