Brazil schedules 1.266 billion reais in income-tax refunds for 412,000 taxpayers

The Federal Revenue Service said its September residual-refund batch will pay 412,186 taxpayers.

Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service opened consultations on 23 September for residual refunds covering 2026 income-tax returns filed late or whose outstanding issues were later resolved. The batch contains 412,186 refunds worth a total of 1,265,846,221.42 reais.

Bank credits were scheduled for 30 September. Of the total, 466,683,970.39 reais was allocated to taxpayers with legal priority; the rest covers non-priority claims and residual refunds from earlier tax years.
