Brazil collected 235.566 billion reais in federal revenue in August 2026. Compared with 208.791 billion reais in the same month a year earlier, the nominal increase was 12.82% and the increase after adjustment for IPCA inflation was 8.25%.

Collections from January through August reached 2.112 trillion reais, 7.12% higher in real terms than a year earlier. Revenue administered by the federal tax authority was 227.865 billion reais in August. The authority classified 1.944 billion reais from the crude-oil export tax as a non-recurring item linked to a legislative change.
