Bahia’s Rural Development Secretariat issued an October 9 update on technical assistance, credit and market-access initiatives for family farmers during July–September 2026. The state is organizing one ATER technical-assistance network for each of its 27 Identity Territories, with 359 public, social and private institutions identified to coordinate the work. The ATER Produtivo programme began direct assistance to 80 families in the Semiárido Nordeste II territory.

A second centralized call to buy family-farm products for state schools envisages distribution to more than 1,700 schools and includes output from over 15,500 farming families. Four calls under the Bahia que Produz e Alimenta project have a combined investment allocation of 64 million reais. The secretariat said two calls had moved to technical evaluation; these figures describe programme scope and allocations, not completed expenditure or deliveries.
