Brazil produced more than 6 million barrels of oil equivalent a day in August

ANP data showed output rose 2.6% from July; pre-salt oil and gas made up 82.6% of the total.

Brazil’s National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) released its August 2026 oil and gas production bulletin on October 1. Total output was 6.002 million barrels of oil equivalent a day, including 4.615 million barrels of oil a day.

Natural-gas output reached 220.55 million cubic metres a day, while pre-salt output was 4.959 million boe a day. ANP said pre-salt production represented 82.6% of the national total. These figures refer to August; the agency notes production can fluctuate with scheduled maintenance and wells entering service.
