On October 9, Anvisa ordered the recall of every batch of Peptistrong, manufactured by Manipulação Stevia Ltda., which operates as Biostevi Pharma. The agency said the product contains hydrolysed fava-bean protein, an ingredient that had not undergone the safety assessment required for food use.
The measure was published in Resolution 3,967/2026 in Brazil’s Official Gazette. The stated basis is the lack of a regulatory safety assessment for food use; Anvisa’s notice did not say that the ingredient had caused health harm.
