Bechtel-Westinghouse and PEJ agree main nuclear EPC commercial terms

The Bechtel-Westinghouse consortium and Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe agreed the main commercial terms of the EPC contract for Poland’s first nuclear power plant. The parties aim to finish negotiations on remaining terms by year-end.

The project envisages three AP1000 reactors with total capacity of 3,750 MWe and first electricity in 2036. Agreement on main terms does not constitute signing every detail of the final EPC contract. This is a commercial milestone distinct from August’s site management handover.
