Bechtel takes over management of Poland’s first nuclear plant site

Budimex and other Polish contractors are supporting site preparation.

Bechtel announced that it had assumed management of the site for Poland’s first nuclear power plant. Its site management role includes coordinating construction and contractors, supervising ongoing work and maintaining site safety.

Initial earthworks and preparation include grading, drainage improvements and approximately 16 kilometres of temporary roads. Budimex will perform site preparation, with DORACO and Unihouse also in the supply chain. Site handover does not mean the plant has begun generating electricity.
