Baker Hughes unveiled the expansion of its Integrated Compressor Line testing and production facility in Le Creusot, France, on October 9. The company said the upgrade, previously announced in 2025, is intended to double production capacity for the technology. It includes variable-speed drive systems, upgraded testing positions, a low-speed balancing machine, a furnace and a machining center.

The electric-motor-driven compressor is described as having no operational emissions during operation and pressurized standby, while emissions associated with its electricity depend on the power-generation mix. Baker Hughes said testing at the facility is needed to validate equipment before delivery to customer sites. The October 9 announcement marked the unveiling of the previously announced expansion; it did not announce a new customer order or contract.
