International fuel benchmarks fall over the week to 30 September

ACCC reported Brent at US$138 a barrel and its diesel benchmark at 157 Australian cents per litre.

In its 2 October report, the ACCC put the weekly average for Brent crude at US$138 a barrel for the week ending 30 September, down US$2 from the prior week. The Gasoil 10 ppm diesel benchmark was 157 Australian cents per litre, a 7-cent decline.

These are international weekly benchmarks, not retail pump prices. The ACCC calculation draws on Argus Media and Reserve Bank of Australia data; the weekly average uses daily prices from the latest seven weekdays.

Kayes gasoline stocks rise while diesel reserves fall sharply
