Afghanistan signs $2.8m monitoring contract for Amu Darya oil basin

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said on 7 September it signed contracts with TNG, a company based in Tatarstan, for monitoring and consultancy at the Amu Darya basin and construction of a flexible production facility at Zamrud Sai.

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said on 7 September it signed contracts with TNG, a company based in Tatarstan, for monitoring and consultancy at the Amu Darya basin and construction of a flexible production facility at Zamrud Sai.

The monitoring and consultancy service is valued at about $2.8 million for one year. The ministry also said it would allocate $11 million for Zamrud Sai; construction was expected to take eight months and the completed system to process up to 2,000 tonnes of oil a day.
